The Total Lego Tarot

(by the Surreal Squirrel Girl, Ahmie)

(violate my copyright and I'll gnaw your fingers off()

This project came to mind a while ago, while I was sorting through my sizable collection of Legos and looking at the work of other Lego artists online (see Links page for some of my favorites).  ReasonablyClever.com made a Lego Tarot before I took my first photograph for mine, but he PhotoShopped the backgrounds instead of using all Lego products, hence why I call mine the Total Lego Tarot.  Everything you see in these images is official Lego product  (though not all from the regular Lego series - there are a few  Duplo, Scala, and Bellville pieces mixed in), with the exception of some water and smoke and the ribbon around the lady in The World.  The only graphics manipulation I've done with them is to fix the colors a bit (some of the lighting is florescent or hallogen, which makes a weird color cast, so I correct that), and maybe adding the title/number of the card (if/when I get around to it).  Everything else is what the camera saw when I shot the picture.  There should also be some "outtakes" - Mr. Squirrel is threatening to use the second digital camera to take some pictures of the goofy poses I get into while taking some of these pictures.  All of the pictures are being shot in our very own living room, on an antique sewing table (well, if you consider 1951 antique - my mother might very well disown me for that one!), under whatever lamps I can get my hands on to get the lighting the way I want it.  This is partially just practice for macrophotography for me, but also a fun diversion since I'm having trouble scheduling models for the other two tarot decks that I'm making (if you'd like to model for me, email me - I don't pay my models which is part of the reason it's so hard to schedule them *grin* )

Right now, I'm focusing more on getting the pictures taken instead of worrying about what the website looks like as a whole.  This place is mostly just to display the images, so I'm not going to waste time with background graphics, funny text colors or shapes, etc.  Maybe I'll bother in the future.

This deck is unlikely to be published in any other format besides here and individual prints that are requested (to order prints of these images, email me - we'll discuss pricing and such that way).
